A paternity suit is filed in cases where there is doubt regarding the paternity of a minor. In order to prove paternity, a DNA test is carried out only in accordance with a court order. Tissue testing is done by way of tissue classification. The tissue test is a DNA test done by taking a saliva or tissue sample. Determination of paternity is 99% accurate. If a person is determined to be the father of a minor, the child can claim child support from his father. It is advisable to file for paternity using only lawyers who specialize in family law.
